Resilient / Sound isolation clips

Resilient clips are also called sound isolation clips or soundproofing clips.

They are usually fixed on a hard & rigid element to clip a metal channel on. Plasterboard (or another type of dense board) is then screwed on the metal channel.

This way, you can improve the insulation performance of a wall or a ceiling construction by de-coupling (i.e. reducing the transmission of vibrations) the plasterboard and the metal frame from the rigid element.
