Vaillant Live, Becketwell Well Performance Venue, Derby 

Becketwell Arena is a 3,500-capacity, multipurpose performance venue that forms Phase 2 of the Becketwell regeneration in Derby city centre.

Corstorphine & Wright’s design delivers maximum flexibility: retractable bleacher seating folds into recessed bays so the event floor can flow into the concourse and F&B zone, and an asymmetric corner entrance activates the new public square. Seating was re-balanced to enlarge standing room and pull the balcony closer to the stage, improving sight-lines and audience intimacy.

Atelier Crescendo offered acoustic design and planning support to Neill Woodger Acoustics and Theatre Design during the early stages of the design.
